Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment to transfer and load materials efficiently at the Transfer Station, weighing inbound and outbound materials while processing outbound Bills of Ladings. Direct incoming trucks to unloading areas, oversee schedule for dumping and trailer switching, and coordinate loading/unloading of all materials in a busy environment. Maintain accurate scale operations and records, ensure facility cleanliness, and site mechanical problems to the shop foreman. Follow all safety checks, regulations, and cleaning schedules while providing excellent customer service to drivers and staff.
Required Qualifications
- at least 18 years of age
- legally eligible to work in the US
- high school diploma or GED
- Proven commitment to work and safety
- excellent communication skills
- problem solving skills
- Physical ability to perform duties in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- two years of prior experience in heavy equipment operation
