Job Summary
Operate heavy civil construction machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, motor graders, rollers, and haul trucks for site development, grading, excavation, utilities installation, and roadway work. Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and material handling while maintaining accuracy around utilities, personnel, traffic, and structures using GPS machine control. Conduct daily equipment inspections, complete pre-use checklists, and perform light maintenance such as greasing and fueling. Report mechanical issues, unsafe conditions, and hazards immediately to supervisors or mechanics. Coordinate with foremen, pipe crews, and laborers to ensure smooth workflow and meet production goals without compromising safety or quality.

- ability to perform light maintenance such as greasing, fueling, cleaning, and minor adjustments
- ability to report mechanical issues or needed repairs promptly

- ability to communicate site conditions, hazards, and progress throughout the workday
