Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment to excavate trenches to grade, slope and back fill, load haul trucks, perform site grading and ditching. Maintain equipment and perform daily safety and maintenance checks, attend tailgate meetings, complete and maintain work reports, and assist crew members as needed. Must be able to work away from home in a camp setting when required. Requires 5+ years of experience, CSTS, Ground Disturbance Level 2, laser level proficiency, safe work practices, and a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience
- Proficient knowledge of road and underground utility construction techniques
- Good working knowledge of laser level & pipe laser level instruments
- Safety oriented, self-motivated and able to work with others
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
- Bear Awareness
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
- A valid BC driver's license (class 5) and own transportation
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
