Job Summary
Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment on civil projects, including dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, and forklifts. Perform set up work on equipment and job sites, grease/oil, and minor repairs. Read and interpret blueprints; utilize lasers and elevation tools (Trimble grade control beneficial) to achieve precise grading and trenching. Able to climb down from the machine to help with prep work and site tasks such as pipe laying and utility work. Willing to travel out-of-town. Strong safety awareness and teamwork with clear communication.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years directly working in Civil Construction
- operating multiple pieces of Heavy Equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, etc.)
- Strong understanding of site grading, excavation, trenching, and backfilling operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and grade stakes
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a crew
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required, depending on equipment type)
