HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR- WPCD

Heavy Equipment Operator in the City’s Public Works department who operates a variety of medium- to heavy-duty equipment, performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and may assist with repairs and contacting utility locations prior to excavation. The role includes operating sewer trucks, backhoes, loaders, cranes, and TV inspection routers, performing manual labor at construction sites, and potentially acting as crew leader in the absence of supervision. Requires knowledge of heavy equipment operation, safety regulations, and the ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues and the public.
