Heavy Equipment Operator Water & Sewer

Operates backhoes, cranes, front-end loaders, vacuum trucks, pumps, compressors, generators, rodding machines, and tractors to excavate trenches, lift and lay piping, and repair water mains, sewer mains, and drain lines. Assists mechanics and pipefitters with daily inspections, maintenance, emergency repairs during flooding or power failures, and troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment. Performs masonry work, video inspections, leak detection, hydrant flushing, and root control while conducting manhole inspections and marking out-of-water services. Requires a Commercial Driver's License with air brake and tanker endorsement, plus Hydraulic Class C and additional licenses. Minimum of three years related experience and ability to operate all department equipment are required.
