Job Summary
Operates a wide range of heavy equipment on wastewater projects and performs maintenance, repairs, and monitoring tasks. Responsibilities include operating equipment such as Gradall, excavators, bulldozers, rollers, dump trucks, concrete mixers, backhoes, forklifts, loaders, skid steers, and concrete breakers; operates jet, vacuum, and CCTV trucks for wastewater maintenance; performs preventative maintenance; monitors inventory; participates in repairing water and sewer lines, hydrants, and leaks; inspects and documents work; supervises contractors as needed; sets up traffic control and directs traffic at job sites; maintains logs and prepares reports; transports equipment; participates in winter operations and on-call emergencies; may assume Crew Leader duties in the absence of the supervisor. Education requirement is High School Diploma or GED with one year of related equipment operations experience; preferred Class A CDL and TCEQ licenses, plus related certifications. Must have valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment checks.
