Job Summary
Operates heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and dump trucks for construction and maintenance in the Water/Sewer Department. Performs inspection and maintenance of rights of way, repairs water/sewer utility lines, and conducts routine equipment checks. Position requires two years of heavy equipment operation experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to follow city and departmental policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of experience in heavy equipment operation
- Valid South Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- May require Plastic Fusion certification depending on assignment
