Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator position with H&K Group, Inc. in Finksburg, MD. Operate heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, loaders) per OSHA and company safety policies; perform daily equipment checks, basic maintenance (greasing, fluids), and secure parking; communicate effectively with team; pass a practical skills test for equipment and meet physical requirements; pre-employment drug testing; company-paid health benefits and other benefits offered. Requires a one-year certificate from a college/technical school or six months of related experience, with strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Required Qualifications
- One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school OR six months of related experience and/or training
- Able to pass practical skills test for heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and loaders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Problem solving
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
