Job Summary
Excavation Technicians safely and skillfully operate heavy equipment to complete a variety of projects, including locating and repairing broken water and sewer lines, installation of new septic systems, and many other types of projects. Responsibilities include upholding health and safety policies, delivering quality customer service, assisting with residential and commercial digging, trenching, and installation projects, working in all weather conditions, operating equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, forklifts, and vacuum excavation equipment, and meeting qualification requirements (6 months excavation/general labor, CDL with company assist, clean background check/drug test, 50 lb lift capability, HS diploma). Required Qualifications
- 6 months excavation or general labor experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- CDL needed, but we are willing to help you meet this requirement within a 6 month timeframe
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Safety oriented mindset with the determination to follow all procedures and policies
- Ability and willingness to work on an occasional on-call basis
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read, understand and complete scopes of work with limited supervision
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
