Job Summary
Operate traveling or stationary cranes and earth-moving equipment to lift, move, and position loads, including structural parts, machinery, and materials using hoisting attachments. Manipulate controls to regulate speed and direction according to instructions while observing load hookup safety. Clean, maintain, and inspect crane and excavation mechanisms for defects, notifying supervisors of malfunctions. May attach loads to hooks or repair defective parts on equipment. Perform additional duties operating overhead cranes and other company vehicles as needed. Works Monday through Friday, weekends and holidays as required, in all weather conditions with exposure to UV light, electrical hazards, vibration, and noise. Wear protective clothing, hearing and eye protection, hardhats, safety shoes, and respiratory protection.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write alphabetically and numerically
- Must be able to provide verifiable references of past work experience
- Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to lift 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to lift greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Must be able to balance
