Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate wheel loaders and high-impact machinery essential for the aluminum production process. Key responsibilities include performing pre-check inspections, ensuring equipment safety and maintenance, monitoring charging equipment, capturing inventory details electronically, and maintaining an organized flow of materials within the facility. Ideal candidates must demonstrate accountability, excellent attendance, and the ability to work rotating shifts, and should possess 2-3 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience operating heavy equipment
- High School Graduate or GED
- Be dependable and accountable
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift including days, nights, and two weekends a month
- Able to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. daily and 75 lbs. occasionally
- Work effectively in hot (120°F) and cold temperatures for long periods of time
