Job Summary
Operate powered industrial trucks, front-end loaders, and clamp trucks to move, stack, and stage product and materials while preparing organic mixes and ensuring material segregation. Monitor stockpiles for excessive heat, turn piles, and extinguish small fires to maintain safe production conditions. Load, unload, and stage inbound and outbound shipments using radio frequency equipment, ensuring accuracy and security. Perform picking duties, minor equipment maintenance, and pre-shift inspections. Assist in physical inventories and maintain facility cleanliness. Work on holidays and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in a team
- At least one year experience operating a PIT or other heavy equipment
- Ability to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting and dividing
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to complete the pre-shift inspection forms
- Conduct themselves in a manner that promotes safety
