Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator will safely operate heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader) at a recycling center, landfill, or transfer station to transfer, spread, load, cover, and/or compact waste or soil. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, monitoring for unacceptable waste, keeping equipment operational, performing and documenting minor service, completing Equipment Condition Reports, reporting repairs, adhering to safety policies, and maintaining a clean, serviced shop area. Requires professional, courteous interaction with customers and co-workers, strong time management, and adherence to company safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation
- One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA
- Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Professional conduct toward customers and co-workers
- Good time management to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and safety standards
- Maintains pride in work and strives to meet goals
