Job Summary
Operate loaders and other heavy equipment to transport aggregate, feed hoppers, and stockpile materials while performing daily maintenance and safety checks. Follow supervisor directions to work within designated areas, manipulate bucket controls to raise, tilt, and dump loads, and execute routine cleaning to ensure smooth operation. Train new employees on safe equipment handling and attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections. Work in a plant environment with exposure to inclement weather, lifting 75 lbs or more, and walking on unlevel ground while wearing required protective gear. Maintain a safe, responsible manner to prevent injury to self or others.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class C Driver License
- Able to read, speak and write English
- Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed
- Must work independently and as a member of a team
- Sensitive to confidential information
- Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull 75 lbs. or more
- Frequently required to walk on unleveled ground
- Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working operating a Loader
