Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator responsible for operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, graders, loaders, backhoes, and skid steers in excavation and industrial projects. Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance, move earth and materials according to project plans and grade specifications, read site plans and blueprints, and coordinate with ground crews to ensure safe, efficient operations. Maintain records of equipment usage, follow safety regulations, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions; requires strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of construction site operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade specifications.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspection and maintenance.
- Strong depth perception, spatial awareness, and hand-eye coordination.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and precision in grading, excavation, and material handling.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
