Job Summary
Operate various pieces of large equipment including excavators, dozers, and wheel loaders in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations. Conduct pre-operation checks, clean, lubricate, and refill equipment as necessary, while performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Report needs for larger repairs to appropriate parties. Maintain situational awareness and adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations. Requires 3+ years of heavy equipment experience and ability to lift 50+ pounds. Overtime as required; work performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with and operating heavy equipment
- Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
- Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair pieces of heavy equipment
- Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment
- Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Overtime as required
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
