Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment to safely load, unload, and move materials and supplies for emergency response logistics. Support setup and demobilization of operations at deployment sites, conduct routine equipment inspections, and assist with general material handling. Follow all safety regulations and protocols while collaborating with field teams to meet response objectives. Travel on short notice to disaster-affected locations in Florida, with potential deployments lasting several days to weeks. Maintain physical readiness for irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, while adhering to operational protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid certification(s) for operating heavy equipment (e.g., telehandlers, forklifts)
- Flexibility to work irregular hours—such as nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in diverse environmental conditions
- Valid driver's license
- Access to reliable transportation

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in logistics, construction, or emergency response settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
