Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator responsible for safely operating earth-moving equipment to excavate, move and grade materials on a variety of grading and earthwork projects. Read grade stakes and work with grade checkers, lasers, or GPS systems to maintain proper grade. Coordinate with crew members using hand signals and clear communication; perform daily inspections, lubrication, and basic maintenance; keep equipment clean and ready for transport; maintain an organized, safe jobsite; and comply with supervisor instructions. Travel is required throughout Central & Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the Eastern Dakotas. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working extended or irregular hours in outdoor conditions. Knowledge of equipment operation, safety regulations, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards is expected; willingness to travel and work long hours during construction season.
