Job Summary
Operate articulating motor graders ranging from 16 to 24 ft blade in mining or heavy construction earthworks to maintain roadways and loading areas. Read stakes, utilize GPS equipment, and complete pre-use inspections to ensure safe operating conditions. Conduct field-level risk and hazard assessments prior to tasks and review safe work plans before job commencement. Interact with light vehicles, hauling, and dumping equipment while following mine driving rules and all company safety policies. Report necessary repairs, incidents, or near misses immediately to maintenance teams or supervisors. Use adequate safety equipment including CSA certified steel-toed boots. Work 7 days, 7 nights with 7 off on a 14 x 7 schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience on graders preferably 16 ft or larger
- Must be able to read grade stakes and be familiar with GPS
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with acceptable drivers abstract (pulled within 30 days)
- Must be proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others

Desired Qualifications
- Experience on M series graders considered an asset
- Haul Road Maintenance experience an asset
- Minimum one year experience in a mining or heavy construction earthworks environment preferred
