Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator at GFL Environmental responsible for precision operation of excavators, front-loaders, balers, bobcats, and bulldozers to process, bale, and load waste materials; perform daily equipment inspections, fluid checks, lubrication, and proactive maintenance; coordinate with office and field crews via two-way radios; step in for teammates as needed; maintain safety and regulatory compliance; contribute to site upkeep and a professional corporate image; opportunity to obtain Transfer Station and Landfill Operations certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Certification (Required)
- High School Diploma/GED (Preferred)
- Willingness/Ability to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification
- Experience operating heavy machinery in waste/construction/industrial setting
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
