Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, heavy loaders, carryalls, rollers, and large industrial tractors, including straight trucks. Use equipment to load or move materials, provide movement support to personnel and units, and assist in deployment/redeployment. Read and interpret grade and slope of stakes, perform routine maintenance and safety checks, and ensure equipment is safely stored. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow site procedures; communicate needs for maintenance to supervisor. Requires OSHA-compliant operation, valid driver’s license, English literacy, adaptability, multitasking, and the ability to work at Fort Knox, KY.
Required Qualifications
- Must have heavy equipment operation experience with specific experience operating excavators, forklifts, skid steers, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret equipment operator’s manuals.
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment and/or drive trucks.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
- Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments accurately and on time.
- Possess a Valid Drivers’ License.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
