Job Summary
Operate 2500, 3600, and 5500 Front-Loading Hitachi Shovels in a mining environment at the Fort Hills site. Maintain safety standards while working 12-hour days and nights on a 14x7 rotation with camp accommodations and provided transportation. Complete pre-employment testing including Breath Alcohol, Urine Drug, Fitness-to-Work, Audiometric, Vision Screening, Criminal Record Check, and various Energy Safety Canada certifications. Submit a valid Class 5 Driver's License and Driver's Abstract. Begin orientation and start date confirmation after paperwork and testing results are received by NACG.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' of experience operating 2500, 3600, and 5500 Front-Loading Hitachi Shovels
- Must have at least 2 years' experience in mining environment
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Ability to provide a recent acceptable Driver's Abstract
- Valid CSO or BSO Certification (Energy Safety Canada)
- Silica Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- H2S Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- Field Ergonomics (Energy Safety Canada)
- Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing: Breath Alcohol Test
