Job Summary
Conduct safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment including tracked skid steers and large excavators for stream restoration, living shorelines, and wetland projects. Perform fine grading, material placement, and manual labor such as shoveling and raking while working around sensitive environmental features. Execute equipment inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance while assisting crew members to ensure projects meet specification. Alternate between machine operation and Field Technician tasks including erosion control installation and planting. Full-time, year-round employment with overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated experience operating tracked skid steers
- demonstrated experience operating large excavators
- real-world experience with heavy machine operation
- experience working on restoration, utility, grading, landscaping, erosion control, or heavy civil construction projects
- Strong heavy equipment operating skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
- Ability to lift and carry materials associated with field construction work (50lbs average)
- Reliable transportation
- punctual attendance
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on restoration, utility, grading, landscaping, erosion control, or heavy civil construction projects
- CDL
- Spanish fluency
