Job Summary
Yard Technician at EquipmentShare (Grand Rapids, MI) is responsible for inspecting and reporting equipment condition before and after usage, documenting incoming/outgoing equipment, assisting with routine inspections, repairs, maintenance and cleaning, loading/unloading equipment, maintaining inventory systems, and keeping the yard and shop clean in accordance with company standards. The role requires safety training and PPE use, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and being outside in extreme temperatures. The position operates Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime after 40 hours and potential on-call scheduling with additional compensation. The employee will contribute to a safety-conscious, customer-focused culture and may participate in additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Safety training required and PPE required when applicable
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years old
- This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
- Employment is contingent on passing a background check
- On-call scheduling with additional compensation
