Heavy Equipment Operator (Earthwork)

Heavy Equipment Operator (Earthwork) responsible for operating a range of construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, and assist with concrete or other pavement tasks. Performs routine inspections, maintenance, and safety procedures per OSHA guidelines; trains entry-level employees; identifies underground utilities prior to excavation; interprets grade stakes/site plans; works 8-12 hour shifts with potential evenings/weekends; must pass pre-employment drug test and be at least 18; union affiliation may be required. Emphasis on safety, communication with management, and ability to work under varying conditions; travel may be required.
