Job Summary
Operate heavy construction equipment including backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and loaders while performing daily maintenance for safe, efficient function. Execute drill patterns and layouts established by the Blaster Foreman after learning terminology, and coordinate supplies with the Blaster. Communicate terrain conditions and problems to supervisors, complete field accounting paperwork such as drill reports and hole sheets, and participate in daily meetings. Maintain safety compliance, manage inventory accessories, and perform unsupervised duties with a sense of urgency. Out-of-town travel and overtime may be required. Valid driver's license and mechanical aptitude are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF
- Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs., 30 – 40% of the time
- Work on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather conditions
- Stooping and bending 30-40% of the time
- Physical agility
Desired Qualifications
- Equipment operating experience is helpful (earth moving construction equipment, farm equipment, timber harvesting equipment, etc.)
- Experience as construction laborer
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
