Job Summary
Operate heavy construction equipment (backhoe, skid steer, excavators, loaders) and learn drilling/blasting processes in a quarry setting; perform daily equipment maintenance, complete drill reports and hole sheets, and coordinate with Blaster Foreman. Must be safety-minded, able to travel out of town and work overtime, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and successfully complete ATF background screening. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50–100 lbs., with willingness to work in varying weather conditions and participate in meetings with foremen/safety teams. Found in Providence, RI; oriented toward internal promotion and career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Experience as construction laborer
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must pass background screening for ATF
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs., 30-40% of the time
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to learn drill patterns and terminology and execute drill patterns
