Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee (Quarry) — operate and learn drilling and blasting on heavy construction equipment (backhoe, skid steer, excavators, loaders) under supervision, with travel and overtime as needed. Safety-minded, able to perform daily maintenance, learn drill patterns, complete drill reports and timecards, and coordinate supplies. Requires ability to lift 50–100 lbs, work in varying weather, pass a pre-employment physical and ATF background screening, and valid driver's license with own transportation. Training pathway includes completing Driller I within the designated period and advancement opportunities within a majority employee-owned ESOP company.
Required Qualifications
- Equipment operating experience is helpful
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Experience as construction laborer
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF
