Job Summary
Driller Trainee - Construction role involving learning drill patterns and operating heavy equipment (backhoe, skid steer, excavators, loaders). Responsible for daily maintenance of equipment, adhering to Safety Policies, communicating terrain conditions, and executing drill patterns as established by the Blaster Foreman. Includes inventory of accessories, completing drill reports and signed timecards, coordinating supplies with the Blaster, and participating in meetings (Foreman’s, Safety, Job Specific, Daily Heads-Up). Will complete Driller I training within designated period and may work unsupervised with a sense of urgency. Out-of-town travel and overtime may be required. Qualifications include equipment operating experience, valid driver’s license with own transportation, prior construction laborer experience, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to lift 50–100 lbs., and ability to pass a pre-employment physical and ATF background check.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Experience as construction laborer
- Equipment operating experience is helpful (earth moving construction equipment, farm equipment, timber harvesting equipment, etc.)
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF
