Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee in construction responsibilities: operate and maintain site equipment (e.g., backhoe, skid steer, excavators, loaders), learn drill patterns and layouts under supervision, communicate terrain and equipment issues to the Blaster/Foreman, complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards, participate in safety and job meetings, and complete Driller I training within the designated period. The role requires safety-mindedness, the ability to work in varying weather, potential out-of-town travel and overtime, and physical tasks such as lifting 50–100 lbs; travel allowance provided during training. Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Experience as construction laborer
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF
- Equipment operating experience is helpful
