Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee (Construction)

Operate heavy construction equipment including backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and loaders while performing daily maintenance for safe, efficient function. Execute drill patterns and layouts established by the Blaster Foreman after learning terminology, and coordinate supplies with the Blaster. Communicate terrain conditions and problems to supervisors, complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards in the Field Accounting system, and participate in daily meetings. Maintain inventory of accessories, understand their costs, and carry all necessary tools. Adhere to company safety policies, work in varying weather environments, and perform essential functions including lifting 50–100 lbs. Complete Driller I training within the designated period and work unsupervised with a sense of urgency. Out-of-town travel and overtime may be required.
