Job Summary
Driller Trainee in construction joining a majority employee-owned company, focusing on operating heavy equipment and learning drilling patterns. Responsibilities include daily maintenance for safe operation of assigned equipment, adhering to safety policies, learning drill patterns and layout, inventory and cost awareness of accessories, communicating terrain and issues to the Blaster/Foreman, submitting drill reports and timecards, coordinating supplies, and participating in safety and job meetings. Training toward Driller I with the potential for pay increases as targets are met. Requires safety-mindedness, ability to learn, and willingness to travel and work overtime; must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and ATF background check; valid drivers license with own transportation; lifting 50–100 lbs and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Experience as construction laborer
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems, desired
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF
- Equipment operating experience is helpful (earth moving construction equipment, farm equipment, timber harvesting equipment, etc.)
