Job Summary
Perform daily maintenance activities for assigned heavy construction equipment, including backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and loaders. Execute drill patterns and layouts established by the Blaster Foreman while communicating terrain conditions and problems to the Blaster. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safety-minded approach in varying weather environments. Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and signed timecards using the Field Accounting system, and coordinate supplies with the Blaster. Participate in Foreman's, Safety, and Daily Heads-Up meetings as needed. Out of town travel and overtime may be required. Complete Driller I training within the designated period.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF
- Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs., 30 – 40% of the time
- Work on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather conditions
- Stooping and bending 30-40% of the time
- Physical agility
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Equipment operating experience is helpful (earth moving construction equipment, farm equipment, timber harvesting equipment, etc.)
- Experience as construction laborer
- Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
