Job Summary

Perform daily maintenance activities for assigned heavy construction equipment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Execute drill patterns and layouts established by the Blaster Foreman after learning terminology, and communicate terrain conditions to supervisors. Manage inventory of drill accessories, coordinate supplies, and carry necessary tools. Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and signed timecards using the Field Accounting system, and participate in daily meetings as needed. Maintain physical agility to lift 50–100 lbs. on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions. Out-of-town travel and overtime may be required. Complete Driller I training within the designated period.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License with own transportation
  • Must hold a high level of common sense relative to equipment and machinery operation
  • Must successfully pass ATF screenings
  • Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs., 30 – 40% of the time
  • Work on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather conditions
  • Stooping and bending 30-40% of the time
  • Physical agility
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position

Desired Qualifications

  • Equipment operating experience (earth moving construction equipment, farm equipment, timber harvesting equipment, etc.)
  • Experience as construction laborer
  • Mechanical aptitude based on past experience around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
