Job Summary
Driller Trainee in construction role responsible for learning drill patterns and terminology, operating and maintaining heavy equipment (backhoe, skid steer, excavators, loaders), coordinating supplies with the Blaster, and submitting drill reports and timecards. Training to become a Driller I is provided; must follow safety policies, perform daily maintenance, and communicate terrain and problems to the Blaster/Foreman while working through field accounting paperwork. Requires mechanical aptitude, ability to travel, physical agility, and willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
- Experience as construction laborer
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must successfully complete a background screening for ATF
- Equipment operating experience is helpful (earth moving construction equipment, farm equipment, timber harvesting equipment)
- Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs., 30–40% of the time
- Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining a sense of urgency
Desired Qualifications
- Equipment operating experience with earth-moving construction equipment
- Mechanical aptitude around equipment, motors, hydraulic, electrical systems
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Background screening for ATF
- Valid Driver's License with own transportation
