Job Summary
Operate the dozer to level soil, move rock and debris to locations on the job site, and scoop soil. Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints; perform excavation of lime, flex base, and general sub-grade operations. Follow all safety rules and guidelines, communicate with supervisors using hand signals, and work days, nights, and weekends as required. Provide own basic hand tools as a plus; maintain focus on safety and teamwork to support highway construction projects. Relocation may be required for ongoing opportunities and career growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of dozer experience on heavy highway road construction projects
- Knowledge of finishing roadways and reading construction plans, sketches, and blueprints
- Physical ability to perform labor-related tasks (climbing ladders, climbing in and out of ditches, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying)
- Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools (hammers, sledgehammers, pry bars, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed
