Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment on residential foundations projects (dozers, mini-excavators, skid steers) to prepare and shape job sites; read and interpret site plans and perform minor layout; manage dirt and materials to achieve precise grading and elevation; maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety protocols; communicate progress with supervisor; work in all weather conditions and physically climb in and out of excavations up to 6–10 feet deep; use smartphones/tablets for job tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
- Ability to hold grade and establish elevation accurately.
- Basic understanding of general construction practices and dirt management.
- Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for job-related tasks.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Physically able to climb in and out of excavations (6–10 feet deep) and work in muddy conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and proper incident reporting.
