Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment including blades, dozers, loaders, scrapers, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and rollers to support the mechanical scope of solar field construction. Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning while detecting machine malfunctions. Provide timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, including Tier Boards and production tracking. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold, while following prescribed safety regulations and precise instructions.
Required Qualifications
- GED or equivalent education
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Equipment certifications as required
- Current driver's license of proper class and necessary endorsements as required by law
- Ability to lift 50+ pound equipment, maneuvering them into their proper places
- Ability to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals, and load charts
- Ability to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- Knowledge of equipment listed above, their appropriate uses, and ability to detect machine malfunction
- Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
- Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on construction projects preferred
