Job Summary
Contract Heavy Equipment Operator for above-ground pool installations. You’ll complete quality installations with your own equipment within a 200-mile radius, handling 20–30 pools per month. Requires 5+ years of proven experience in above-ground pool installations or precision grading/dirt work, a reliable full-time helper, and ownership (or ability to obtain) of a full-size vehicle capable of towing, a skid steer/Bobcat/front loader, and a transit or laser level. Must hold a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and $1,000,000 general liability insurance. Training is provided (3 days on-the-job with a current installer). Compensation includes daily pay per installation, potential bonuses (sign-on $500; $500 extra per every 5 pools up to 25 pools), and up to $1,000 per week for completing 5 installs in a week; average earnings per daily pool install range from $1,400 to $1,600, with some installers earning up to $30,000 per month. The company has operated nationwide in the pool-install industry since 1982 and emphasizes a steady flow of high-volume work.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience installing above-ground pools OR significant experience in precision grading and residential dirt work
- at least one reliable, full-time helper
- access to a full-size work vehicle capable of towing, a residential-sized skid steer/Bobcat/front loader, and a transit or laser level (ownership or ability to obtain)
- valid driver's license, auto insurance, and $1,000,000 general liability insurance
- ability to start immediately and cover up to a 200-mile installation radius to complete 20–30 pools per month
- participation in a 3-day on-the-job training program with a current installer
