Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Operator needed for a traveling drilling contractor in York, PA. Role involves operating heavy construction equipment as part of 4-5 person crews, assisting laborers and foremen, cross-training to learn new skills, and traveling for project-based work across multiple states. Must have at least 5 years of heavy equipment/truck experience, a clean driving record, own tools, and be capable of passing a weld test (or willing to learn welding). Weld- and HDD-related experience (horizontal auger boring, tunneling, pipe jacking, tunnel boring machines, horizontal directional drilling) is highly helpful. Shift is day, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday days; travel percentage varies by project. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience with heavy construction equipment and trucks
- Willingness to travel for project-based work; can be short or long duration projects
- Clean driving record
- Must have own tools
- Ability to pass a basic weld test or willingness to learn how to weld in order to pass the weld test
- Willingness to be cross-trained and learn new skills
- Experience in horizontal auger boring, tunneling, pipe jacking, tunnel boring machines, and horizontal directional drilling operations is very helpful
