Heavy Equipment Operator (2nd shift 4/10's)

Job Summary
Operate heavy machinery including cranes, lifts, telehandlers, and forklifts for material handling, site preparation, and manufacturing product movement in both indoor and outdoor environments. Perform daily and periodic inspections of equipment, work areas, and rigging while identifying maintenance needs to minimize downtime. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols, wearing PPE, using hand signals, and communicating effectively with crews and external partners. Document work performed, product placement, and maintenance paperwork. Coordinate with manufacturing leads to ensure efficient product flow and meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience operating heavy machinery
- High level of attention to detail with focus on safety and quality
- A track-record of working safely, and helping others work safely, too
- Able to communicate effectively, written and verbally, with teammates and external partners
- Familiarity with blueprints, site plans, and safety codes
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- previous work history in construction, farm, any type of figure it out environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Willing to contribute ideas to make job and other jobs easier, better, safer, and/or faster
