Job Summary
Fuel and lubricate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, and haul trucks while performing daily inspections and routine maintenance checks. Safely transport fuel and lube supplies to various job sites, maintain accurate service records, and communicate equipment needs with operators and mechanics. Monitor fluid levels, filters, and grease points to reduce downtime, and report deficiencies promptly to the Equipment Manager. Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations while ensuring all work areas remain clean and compliant. Requires valid CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement, ability to lift 50 lbs, and flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement or Class B with tanker endorsement
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on/off equipment
- Tolerance to outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Must be able to operate fueling/lubrication equipment safely and effectively
- Position is field-based with daily travel to various heavy-civil job sites
- Requires flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends depending on project needs
Desired Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement or Class B with tanker endorsement preferred
- Previous experience working with heavy construction equipment is strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting knowledge preferred
