Job Summary
Diagnose problems, perform repairs, recondition and service heavy equipment and components in a shop environment for a Caterpillar dealer. Requires experience with heavy construction equipment, strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude, and computer/service-software proficiency. Must be able to operate heavy machinery occasionally and work shifts including days, nights, and weekends to meet customer needs. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in use of a computer and service software
- Ability to diagnose problems, perform repairs, reconditioning and servicing of heavy equipment
- Experience with heavy construction equipment and work tool repair
- Ability to operate heavy machinery occasionally
- Willingness to work shifts including days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 70 pounds
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
