Job Summary
Licensed 421A Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Arthur, Ontario for a full-time permanent role. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment (screeners, grinders, bulldozers, front-end loaders); troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical, and operational issues; performing preventative maintenance per manufacturer specs; repairing or replacing defective parts; welding, fabricating, and manufacturing custom parts when required; maintaining preventative maintenance documentation and repair records; ordering parts and maintaining repair documentation; prioritizing repairs to minimize downtime; and adhering to health and safety policies. Requires Valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License, 3+ years of relevant experience, Valid G Class Driver’s License, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfort with outdoor work in varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial, construction, or heavy equipment environment
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
- Experience with hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and preventative maintenance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and industrial conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following company procedures
