Job Summary
Analyze issues and make repairs to maintain a heavy construction equipment fleet, including crawler and hydraulic cranes, pile driving, and earth moving machinery. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems safely while dismantling and reassembling equipment using hoists and hand tools. Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects, examine parts for damage, and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment types. Test repaired equipment to ensure efficient operation and assist with crane assembly and disassembly. Willingness to travel and stay overnight to support project needs is required. Candidates must be able to read repair manuals, work in all weather conditions, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods. Overtime availability is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years related experience working on cranes, hydraulics, general heavy equipment
- Must follow company policies and procedures at all times
- Ability to lift 0 to 50 pounds occasionally for hand work
- Must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain for purpose of performing duties outlined above
- Must work in all weather conditions and be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
- Must be able to work independently and maintain a schedule of work as well as be punctual
- Must be available to work overtime
- Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, lift for extended periods of time
- Post offer drug screen required
- Clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification is a PLUS
- OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate
