Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Interstate Earthworks will perform routine repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, including diagnosing, adjusting, or repairing mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles under supervision, performing inspections and preventive maintenance, and maintaining accurate records and reports. Qualifications include heavy equipment mechanic experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Additional preferred traits include a Diesel Technology or Automotive/Diesel Diploma and a CDL license.

- Dependable, reliable, and capable of fulfilling responsibilities
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be capable of working independently with little or no supervision and as a member of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Desired Qualifications
- Diesel Technology or Automotive/ Diesel Diploma, preferred
- CDL license, preferred
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures, preferred
