Job Summary

Perform repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on mining and quarry equipment and fixed plant machinery. Troubleshoot and diagnose service issues affecting engines, brake systems, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Complete maintenance and work order repair records while inspecting machines for abnormalities. Weld and fabricate as needed, manage heavy equipment parts procurement and storage, and operate mobile equipment and company vehicles. Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks with limited supervision. Weekend work and overtime may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
  • Minimum of three years of experience working on heavy equipment
  • Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed
  • Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment
  • Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work
  • Weekend work/overtime may be required
  • Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist, and lift 70lbs
  • Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet
  • Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions
  • Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors
