Job Summary
Comply with all safety regulations and record-keeping while dismantling and reassembling trucks, machines, and equipment to access problem areas. Visually inspect and listen to machinery to locate malfunctions, then read schematics and utilize diagnostic software for troubleshooting. Weld, cut, and fabricate components as needed to maintain off-road construction equipment. Perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in hard-to-reach places. This role offers career progression into a Lead Man or Maintenance Manager within a 100-year-old family-owned company that transforms recycled products into construction materials.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of off-road heavy equipment
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, electrical systems, drivelines, steering mechanisms, and suspensions
- Tier IV Emissions experience
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment
- Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License - CDL-A
