Job Summary
Repair and maintain drill equipment, hoe-rams, skids, and steers in garage and field environments by replacing broken parts, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Operate hand and power tools safely while coordinating with the Equipment Manager for parts and supplies. Complete accurate maintenance documentation and participate in equipment meetings as needed. Adhere strictly to company safety policies, proactively identify hazards, and work outside on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions. Requires own hand tools, valid DOT Medical Card, and ability to lift 50-100 lbs. 30-40% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own hand tools up to 1 5/8 or be willing to invest in tools as needed
- Must have good driving record
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass ATF screenings
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
- Physical ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs., 30 - 40% of the time, with stooping and bending 30 - 40% of the time
- Physical ability to work outside on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environments
- High school or technical school graduate
- ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance
- At least 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
- Self-starter
